- 1 lb 450g ground beef
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1½ tsp salt divided
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- 1 TBSP minced garlic
- 2 cans 8 oz each tomato sauce
- 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
- 2 bay leaves
- 1½ cups beef broth
- 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese for topping
Brown the Beef:
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Drain excess grease.
Build Flavor:
Stir in garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and uncooked macaroni. Drop in bay leaves.
Simmer:
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
